Sabine Lake river fishing is great, I’m fishing the Louisiana shoreline and Sabine Lake. It’s holding lots of speckled Trout and mixed red fish in 2 to 6 foot of water. Fishing over mud and oyster shell I am finding mullet and the fish are there. Limits of trout and some redfish. Throwing plastic’s with 1/4 and 1/8 jig heads, Z man paddle tails, best bait is red shad.
Fishing the Neches on points in 4 to 18 foot of water throwing half and three-quarter ounce spoons, also 1/4 inch three eights jig heads. In the morning I am using morning glory chartreuse tail (5 inch paddle tail best bait for up in the marsh on the points). In the cuts Best bait has been live shrimp with pop and cork on outgoing tide. Limits of redfish (all slot) some Texas oversize fish.
